Digital technology is fundamentally transforming the way we do business, revolutionizing our economies in the process. The COVID-19 pandemic has served as a catalyst for this transformation, accelerating the adoption of digital technologies. From e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces to cloud computing or artificial intelligence, digital technology is reshaping every aspect of the economy, creating new opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation but also creating new challenges.

The Japanese government has in recent years taken several important steps to support Japan’s digital transformation, including the creation of a Digital Agency. Belgium has also been ramping up its digital efforts, most recently with the publication of the federal government's AI strategy in 2022.

To further advance digital collaboration between both countries, the Embassy of Belgium in Tokyo is proud to organize a digital seminar in collaboration with AWEX, FIT, and HUB Brussels, and with the support of JETRO. This event brings together speakers and participants from both the public and private sectors to explore the latest developments and areas for cooperation between both countries in this new digital world.
